Granted by Pico June 30, 1846, to Benito Díaz, Juan Castañeda and Luis Arenas; about 10 acres, by name, a sale for $1000. Claim filed by J. W. Redman, Charles Clayton, and the heirs of James M. Jones Mar. 2, 1853. Rejected by the Board Dec. 18, 1855. Rejected by the District Court May 21, 1858, because of absence of archive record of a grant, and because of the governor's lack of authority to make a sale of a grant.
