The Santa Cruz 4H Club camp site is adjacent to virgin timber owned by the Monterey Bay Redwood Company. This was swept by a rather heavy fire in 1925 but has made pretty good recovery. This view shows the road along the creek past the camp site with the corner of the old timber area in the rear. This camp can be made very attractive by cleaning up the dead brush and trees and doing some planting to hold the stream banks and fill open areas. Metcalf. November, 1928
