California Audiovisual Preservation Project (CAVPP)
Knowles Ryerson (1892-1990) served as an Agricultural Extension Agent specializing in subtropical horticulture at University of California, Berkeley and Davis; Researcher with the USDA and Bureau of Plant Industry and Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture (now UC Davis) from 1937-1952. His extensive oral history interview, conducted by Joann Leach Larkey, discusses his horticulture work as well as the Davis campus during his time there. Part 26 of the interview includes a conversation with his wife, Edith Popenoe Ryerson. Howard G. MacMillan is also included in the interview for Parts 27-31.
