California Preservation Service (CAPS)
A neighborhood baling crew that included Jesus Santa Maria (aboard baler), Dolores Trujillo (first from right), father of Rose Wiley (photo donor), George Cheney (second from right), and others building hay on Santa Maria Ranch in Topanga circa 1908. Jesus Santa Maria was the first homesteader in Topanga in 1870s. This image was provided by Rose Wiley through The Topanga Historical Society for inclusion in the Topanga Digital History collection.
