An oral interview of Mary Gorman (Watterson), born 1889, near Bishop, California. Mary Gorman's family, the Wattersons, were popular, long-time residents of the Owens Valley. Stories included in this interview relate to early Owens Valley cattle and sheep ranching, the Narrow Gauge Railroad, school days at Warm Springs School, Bishop High School, and the Inyo Academy, and community life in Bishop and Independence. Noteable people discussed are Mary Austin, Horace Albright, Jim Cashbaugh, and Gertrude Raul.
