California Audiovisual Preservation Project (CAVPP)
Oral interview with Irma Cline, birthdate unknown, born in El Segundo, California, resident of Lone Pine/souther Inyo County. Includes stories surrounding the history and culture of southern Inyo County and eastern Kern County. Also information about local mining and industry such as mining claims at Last Chance Canyon, and growing up near the plant of Natural Soda Products, daily life in the towns surrounding Owens Lake, including Olancha and Keeler. Stories about decline of the Owens Lake caused by Los Angeles Department of Water and Power water diversion, resulting in serious air quality issues for residents of southern Inyo County.
