California Audiovisual Preservation Project (CAVPP)
After earning an MFA from UCLA’s film school and a brief stint with Roger Corman’s filmmaking company, Bill Kerby was hired as a screenwriter for Warner Brothers. Since then he has written for both film and television on such diverse projects as the films Hooper (1978) and The Rose (1979) and the acclaimed CBS mini-series A Long Way From Home: Dadah is Death (1988). Most recently Kerby earned accolades for his work on the History Channel mini-series The Hatfields and the McCoys (2012), which was awarded the Writers Guild Award for Best Longform Teleplay of 2013.
