Description

California Audiovisual Preservation Project (CAVPP)
Marilyn Hagberg interviews the controversial artist Christo on the occasion of his Oakland Museum exhibition. Called the Cecil B. DeMille of conceptual art, Christo created ""the most publicized work of art in the last decade"", a 1300-foot nylon curtain stretched across a Rocky Mountain valley in Colorado. Trained in the Soviet school of social realism, Christo discusses his bizarre theories of art and his next art project, a 24 1/2-mile nylon fence planned for the San Francisco Bay Area.
