CP box car 36903 is an early ventilated fruit car built for the Central Pacific in the 1880s and modernized soon after the turn of the century. Air-flow cooled the contents of the car. Ventilated cars were later replaced by refrigerated cars. This photograph was taken at the Sacramento Shops.
