Title
A view across the Yosemite Valley from a point about halfway up to the checking station on the Big Oak Flat Road. Bridal Veil Falls is in the background. A part of the open meadow shows in the right foreground, and occasional dead trees may be seen in the timber stands on the valley floor. These have succumbed to insects. Most of the trees in the left foreground on the talus slope are Canyon Live Oaks. Metcalf, 1925.
