Title
Dense Lodgepole Reproduction. This stand is the result of fire. It runs about 5000 green trees per acre and is now about 50 years old. The stand is so dense that lagging [sic] or fence poles have not been able to develop. Although the stand is very badly in need of thinning such work cannot be done because there is no timber of merchantable size to be removed.
