Title
Pilot Creek White Fir plot #3. El Dorado County with small California Black Oak in the foreground. Branches to the ground are characteristic of the fir at this age. There are also a few trees of Sugar Pine, Douglas Fir and Incense Cedar in this plot which is 60 years old. Brush species including cherry, white thorn ceanothus and hazel killed out by trees. Sugar Pine here is not as tall as the White Fir at the same age. Metcalf, 1925.
