This black-and-white landscape photograph captures a dense forest of massive redwood trees with straight, vertically-textured trunks that extend beyond the top of the frame. In the lower-center of the image, a family of 5 sit in a clearing next to the front of a car at the base of the trees. They appear small in scale against the enormous redwood trunks. Bright sunlight filters through the high canopy, creating high-contrast patches of light and shadow on the tree bark and the forest floor.
