According to Ruth Smith Henley, "Picture of the Baker Street School in East Bakersfield - known as the Kern City at that time - is of the first, second, and third grades. Earl was in the first at that time. Leo G. Pualy was Superinrtendent. In this picture Earl had his curls and little Lord Fauntleroy suit on - standing in the first row."
