Description

A black-and-white, rectangular photograph depicts two men working outdoors near a ramada made of dense, leafy branches. One man stands centrally, wearing a light-colored hat, a long-sleeved shirt, and trousers, while the second man is partially obscured on the left, appearing to be seated or crouched near a flat, rectangular object. The ramada stands to the right, composed of a thick canopy of greasewood branches supported by a simple frame. The ground is flat and dusty, extending toward a light-colored, featureless horizon. The original photograph is mounted on a larger grey rectangular card, and a color calibration strip and a ruler are visible at the very bottom edge of the digitized frame. The text "These two Mexicans made adobe bricks for Mr. Miller's house which never was built. Thses[sic] men..." appears in white above the image within the digital interface.
