Description
A sepia-toned stereograph features two nearly identical photographs mounted side-by-side on a light-colored card with rounded corners, showing a group of women on a decorated floral float. The women, dressed in matching light-colored outfits with ruffled collars and dark ties, are arranged in two rows atop a carriage completely covered in light-colored flowers. The carriage has large, thin-spoked wheels and is positioned on a flat, open ground. In the background, several small, light-colored buildings with gabled roofs are visible under a pale sky. Vertical text is printed on the side margins of the card: the left margin reads "AMERICAN STEREOSCOPIC CO. Manufacturers and Publishers" and the right margin reads "NEW YORK, U. S. A. 725-727 Broadway." Small, centered text at the bottom of the images identifies the scene as "A bevy of beautiful belles in a fine floral float, Los Angeles, Cal., U. S. A." and includes a copyright notice from 1901 by R. Y. Young.
