Also covers some adjacent areas. In 1928, this area was part of the historical region and Prussian province of East Prussia, located along the southeastern coast of the Baltic Sea. In 1945, at the end of World War II, East Prussia was divided between Poland and the Soviet Union. The area shown is now part of the Kaliningrad exclave, the westernmost territory of Russia.
