Full titleCreek South Carolina on April 16th 1806 and died Feb. 27th 1880. He founded the Toland Medical College at the N.E. cor. Pfeiffer and Stockton Sts. in 1864 and transferred the same by unconditional gift to the University of Calif. and then by established its Dept. of Medicine in 1872.
