Various editions. Sheets issued in 1941 and 1942 are Sonderausgabe. Deutsche Heereskarte format sheets were issued by the Chef des Kriegskarten- und Vermessungswesens.
All sheet are individually numbered: Blatt Nr. J-39-1 -- L-37-XIX/XXV. Some sheets are also individually subtitled with place names: Blatt Nr. K 37 V, Krassnaja-Poljana.
Shows drainage, political and administrative boundaries, settlements, railroads, roads and trails, telegraph lines, ans well as other physical and cultural features.
Some sheets overprinted with a red Luftwaffe grid served as aeronautical charts. They are marked Fliegerausgabe in the upper margin and were issued by Generalstab der Luftwaffe, 7. Abt.
Includes legend, source map data note (Grundkarte), index to adjoining sheets, political boundary diagram, glossary, Planzeiger reference card, and grid note.
Deutsche Heereskarte format sheets were updated with aerial photography: "Berichtigt nach Luftbildern." They also include Ballenbezeichnung diagrams and declination information.
