German mapping agencies and military mapping units reprinted and updated some sheets of this Polish topographic map series between 1939 to 1944. The Reichsamt für Landesaufnahme issued a Vorläufige Ausgabe of the Topographische Karte 1:25 000 and military mapping institutions produced Truppenkarte sheets on the Deutsche Heereskarte format of that same series, issued by the OKH/Gen St. d H, Chef des Kriegkarten- und Vermessungswesens.
The set includes WIG reprints of older Russian-language sheets.
Legend, index to adjoining sheets and administrative diagram in margin of some sheets.
Coverage includes the western parts of Belarus and Ukraine and the southern parts of Lithuania.
Covers the national territory of Poland, as it existed in the interwar period.
