German military topographic map series published during World War II, based on a map series first issued by the Militärgeographisches Institut of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
Marginal data in German. Serbian, Greek, Russian and Bulgarian place names appear in transliteration.
Set includes various editions, some sheets were issued on the Deutsche Heereskarte format.
Some sheets lack title and imprint information.
Sheets titled "Fliegerausgabe," with an aeronautical grid added by 7. Abteilung, Generalstab der Luftwaffe, were issued 1943-1944.
Most sheets are issued in quadrangles, 1 degree by 1 degree, chiefly 56 x 44 cm. Some maps were issued as double sheets.
Prime meridian: Ferro.
