German military hydrogeological map series of Palestine which maps groundwater resources, based on Survey of Palestine topographic sheets and data from British government sources.
Relief indicated by contours and spot heights. Each sheet individually titled and numbered. Shows wells, salinity of ground water, waterworks, and vegetation. Also shows roads, railroads, and numerous other cultural features. Includes explanatory text, Arabic glossary, and key map. Source map data: "Palästina 1:100 000," sheets of the Survey of Palestine's 1:100,000 topographic map series. Also based on British government document and scientific hydrological studies, 1935-1941. Maps nos. 5-8 combined onto 1 sheet, with the title Wehrgeologische Karte der Wasserversorgung von Mittelpalästina.
