Description

The John K. Branner Traveling Fellowship was established in 1969 to provide travel awards for graduate students within the Department of Architecture at CED. As of 2016, there have been a total of 189 Branner Fellows. The program supports travel to explore a particular architectural question or issue that may be later explained as a thesis. Phillip Goolkasian and Dongil Kim spent the 2015 calendar year traveling to far-flung places in pursuit of their respective proposal topics. They returned to CED this semester to complete thesis and are here ready to share experiences with our community. Under the new Branner Fellowship structure, Matthew Au, Brooke Candrian, Jessica Chen, Brooke Hair, Wesley Harkonen and Nancy Mei travelled over this past Summer and Winter breaks to support their thesis research.
