Confirmed by the District Court Mar. 1, 1858; appeal dismissed by the Supreme Court by mandate filed Aug. 15, 1865. Patent issued to Jose M. Covarrubias Apl. 10, 1867, for 45,820.43 acres. The patent is recorded in Los Angeles. No. 470 General Land Office map. Alta California on Feb. 26, 1858 gave the area as 70,000 acres. Bowman, J.N.
