Granted (1) by Gutierrez, 1837, but papers were lost, and (2) by Micheltorena Mar. 18, 1844, to Nicolas Dodero; (a) 300 varas for a mill site, and (b) 1,000 varas, Mesa del Ojo de Agua, for cultivation, by name. Claim filed by Nicolas Dodero Feb. 15, 1853. Confirmed by the Board Feb. 20, 1855. Confirmed by the District Court Jan. 8, 1857, for 1,000 varas, and Sept. 8, 1862. Patent issued to Nicolas Dodero June 7, 1866, for 176.03 acres. The patent is recorded in Santa Cruz. No. 211 General Land Office map. This grant was closely related to 587, Potrero y Rincon de San Pedro Regalado, 383 SD. Court case 397 SD was an injunction suit: Russel vs. Dodero, 1861. Russell's claim to this land was confirmed by the District Court but no patent was ever issued. Jimeno and Martnell in their Index used number 357 twice: once for this grant and the other for 785, San Vicente y Santa Monica, 143 SD. In the "Complete" expediente in the National Archives all the papers are of this grant except one San Vicente diseño. Bowman, J.N.
