Granted (1) by Fages Nov. 20, 1784, to Manuel Nieto, 33 leagues, (2) by Figueroa May 22, 1834, and (3) by Pico July 9, 1846, an augmentation, the last grant to Tomas Sanchez Colima; about ¾ of a league, by diseño and description. Claim filed by Tomas S. Colima Nov. 9, 1852, for part of the grant and for the augmentation. Confirmed by the Board Dec. 12, 1854, the part of Santa Gertrudis but rejected the augmentation. Appeal dismissed by the District Court June 8, 1857. Patent issued to Tomas S. Colima July 17, 1877, for 3,696.23 acres. The patent is recorded in Los Angeles. No. 463 General Land Office map.
