Confirmed by the District Court Apl. 11, 1861. While the case was pending in the District Court Guadalupe Ortega de Chapman sold her interest in the grant to John Hancock, and his claim was included in the patent to Hancock for 647, Rio de Santa Clara, 231 SD. The minutes of the District Court note that a transcript was made for the Supreme Court on Nov. 14, 1864; the Asst. Clerk of the Supreme Court writes that he was "unable to identify the case."
