Confirmed by the District Court Mar. 5, 1856; appeal dismissed Feb. 24, 1857. Patent issued to Abel Stearns Sept. 3, 1872, for 13,338.84 acres. The patent is recorded in San Diego. No. 495 General Land Office map. Temecula, of which this grant was a part, refers to a geographic area and not to a grant of that name.
