Claim filed by Octaviano Gutierrez May 7, 1852. Confirmed by the Board Feb. 21, 1853. Confirmed by the District Court Mar. 7, 1856; appeal dismissed Feb. 23, 1857. Patent issued to Octaviano Gutierrez May 17, 1867, for 48,703.91 acres. The patent is recorded in Santa Barbara. No. 360 General Land Office map. Octaviano Gutierrez received a provisional grant of an augmentation of 1 league on Mar. 20, 1844. Judging by the diseño this rancho has been granted the land, as no reference to it is noted in the later grants. This grant was also known as San Francisquito de la Laguna. Bowman, J.N.
