Granted by Alvarado June 11, 1839, to Antonio M. Osio; The present area is 729.60 acres. Claim filed by Antonio M. Osio Feb. 2, 1852. Confirmed by the Board Oct. 24, 1854. Confirmed by the District Court Mar. 24, 1856. Rejected by the Supreme Court Mar. 12, 1860, because the governor was without authority to make such a grant, and because of lack of occupancy by the grantee. By error the record case came before the Supreme Court the same day. This island was also called Wood Island. Bowman, J.N.
