Stacey Dolan Capitani is Vice President of Marketing at Napa Valley Vintners (NVV), and has throughout her twenty-five years with the organization, taken on numerous roles, including auction director. Capitani graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in marketing, and began her work with NVV as a volunteer shortly after her college graduation, before joining NVV officially as staff assistant director in 1997. In this interview, Capitani discusses the history of her interest in wine industry; early years working in the industry; marketing philosophy; involvement in Auction Napa Valley, Premiere Napa Valley; challenges to the wine industry; industry responses to the COVID-19 pandemic; formation of Collective Napa Valley; and her hopes for the future of Napa Valley
