Confirmed by the District Court May 1, 1857; appeal dismissed May 1, 1857. Patent issued to Manuela T. Curtis, Stephen Smith, Manuela Smith and James Smith Apl. 18, 1859, for 35,489.52 acres. The patent is recorded in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. No. 27 General Land Offcie map. Governor Alvarado testifies that his was the only grant, to his knowledge, to receive the approval of the Supreme Government in Mexico. Bowman, J.N.
