Claim filed by Vicente and Domingo Peralta Jan. 21, 1852, for part of the grant. Confirmed by the Board Feb. 7, 1854. Confirmed by the District Court Jan. 26, 1855, and Dec. 1, 1859, and Aug. 4, 1874. Claim for the inclusion of Yerba Buena Island rejected by the Circuit Court Dec. 9, 1909, and by the Circuit Court of Appeals Oct. 3, 1910, and appeal dismissed by the Supreme Court Nov. 2, 1914. Patent issued to the heirs of Vicente and Domingo Peralta Feb. 10, 1877, for 18,848.98 acres. The patent is recorded in Oakland, Alameda County. No. 128 General Land Office map. The southern part of the grant was also known as Rancho Temascal and the northern part as Rancho Codornices. The grant as a whole was first called Cerrito de San Antonio. Bowman, J.N.
