Granted by Micheltorena Sept. 5, 1844, to Salvador and Juan Antonio Vallejo; 8 leagues each, by name, permission to occupy the land had been granted Mar. 15, 1839, by Mariano G. Vallejo. A claim was also made for a grant by Micheltorana Aug. 30, 1844, to these same grantees and Rosalia Olivera and Marcos Juares, for 32 leagues, by name. Claim filed by H.F. Teschemacher, J.P. Thompson, G.H. Howard, and J.K. Rose Jan. 5, 1853, for 14 leagues. Rejected by the Board Dec. 13, 1853. Confirmed by the District Court june 27, 1855, and Mar. 21, 1857; rejected Sept. 22, 1866, and Jan. 27, 1868. Rejected by the Supreme Court Mar. 12, 1860, by mandate. Rejected because of slight occupation of the grant and because of lack of proof of the genuineness of the title. Bowman, J.N.
