Granted by Guerrero (1) Nov. 18, 1840, 50 varas, and (2) by Alvarado May 18, 1841, 100 varas, for services rendered, to Candelario Valencia. Claim filed by Candelario Valenica Feb. 11, 1852, for 150 varas. Confirmed by the Board Aug. 14, 1855. Confirmed by the District Court Dec. 28, 1857; appeal dismissed same day. Patent issued to Candelario Valencia Dec. 16, 1882, for 1.78 acres. The original patent was among the papers which survived the 1906 San Francisco fire, and is now in the National Archives, Washington. Bowman, J.N.
