Photograph taken by Ellis Black Hayes. Written on back of photograph: Babicora Ranch, A celebration of the school children- Independence Day, September 15th, 1911-first year of the revolution. The children are dressed in red, white and green- in the colors of the Mexican flag. -Independence Day was always celebrated by patriotic songs, and recitations by the children in each of the three schools maintained on the ranch.
