Description

Pictorial relief from a stone slab uncovered during the Tongzhi era (1862-74) at the site of the Wu Family Shrines, Jiaxiang, Shandong. Here, two registers of relief depicting Confucius playing stone chimes while others listen; Liuxia Hui 柳下惠 covering a woman against the cold; and Gongsun Chujiu 公孫杵臼 kneeling outside a house in which the Orphan of Zhao 趙氏孤兒 and his mother are seated.
清同治十年(1871)新出土武梁祠石畫。上有題記“新出土第二石，為軒轅華所藏，光緒庚辰(1880)四月丁蓉江增入，陳錦誌”。此石於民國初流散國外。
