Description
Pictorial relief possibly from the Left Chamber of the Wu Family Shrines, Jiaxiang, Shandong. Here, a stone whose actual position in the shrines is uncertain, two registers of relief depicting the mother of Wang Ling 王陵 (d. 181 B.C.), standing before an official and his chariot and holding a knife to her throat, as if about to take her own life; and Jin Linggong 晉靈公, in his audience hall, setting a mastiff on Zhao Dun 趙盾.
