Description

Pictorial relief from the rear wall of the shrine of Wu Ring (d. 168) at the Wu Family Shrines, Jiaxiang, Shandong. Here, the cornerstone of a niche in the wall, three registers of relief depicting Jing Ke's 荊軻 attempted assassination of Qin Shihuangdi 秦始皇帝 (r. 221-210 B.C.), then king of Qin; two carts and a rider; and a cart and chariot.
拓本右有“前石室十”刻字。分三層，上刻荊軻刺秦王；中層刻車騎；下為車馬，上有榜題“行亭車”。
