Description

Rubbings of a matrix for a mold for round coins of the daquan wushi type, dating to the Xin dynasty of Wang Mang 王莽 (r. 9-23). Includes rubbings of recto and verso of matrix.
此為錢笵正面及笵底，笵面有錢幣六枚。文作“大泉五十”，陽文，有峻邊，為錢笵母。拓本上有陳克明手書題記“新莽大泉五十笵。癸巳夏日南尗手拓”。
