Description

Inscription from a bronze ruler purportedly cast in Lüsi, Shanxi, during the Jianchu era (76-84) in accordance with specifications promulgated by the law of Han Zhangdi 章帝 (r. 76-88); this rubbing taken from a later replica modeled after the original. This page of the album also includes rubbings of the sides of the ruler, with calibrations and textual inscriptions identifying it as a replica manufactured for the Kong clan of Qufu, Shandong.
另有尺側拓文二幅。其一為題記“曲阜孔氏所造銅尺式其側顏氏所造周尺式”;其一為“周尺”,隸書,及“尺當宋三司布帛尺七寸五分弱,當今營造尺六寸四分強”,正書,並有刻度。拓本原藏葉志詵。
