Inscription from the Gong Fa Xu ding, cast by Gong to commemorate the Zhou king's command to wage a punitive campaign against the Xu, Gong's subsequent victory, and his king's reward; a forgery.
此器《周金文存》作魯公伐徐鼎。原為吳縣吳氏藏，後歸元和顧氏。此拓殘，據容庚等考訂為商賈以真器偽刻文字以售利者。
