Description

The Zhenshang zhai tie, an anthology of models of calligraphy compiled by Hua Xia 華夏 (fl. 1522-57) of Wuxi 無錫, Jiangsu, during the Jiajing era (1522-66); trace-copied by Wen Zhengming. The anthology includes Zhong You's 鍾繇 "Jian Ji Zhi biao" 薦季直表, Wang Xizhi's 王羲之 "Yuansheng tie" 袁生帖, and Wang Fangqing's 王方慶 (d. 702) "Wansui tongtian." These rubbings taken from the set of engravings that were completed and subsequently destroyed by fire in 1522. This album also includes two handwritten colophons, one of them added by Zhang Tingji (1768-1848).
書末有墨筆題跋二，一為清嘉慶二十五年(1821)十二月張廷濟題跋；一為日本大正十二年(1923)春陳人彰題。此火前本，見《萬歲通天帖》末“史館新鑄之印”底位在“歲”線上。又袁泰跋第十、十一行倒置，是為其証。
