Description

Votive inscription concerning dedication of a grotto temple by Yuan Xie (d. 515), prince of Anding 安定 and supervisor commissioned with a warrant to act as administrator of Huazhou 華州 and other military prefectures (zhujunshi 諸軍事), on behalf of his late grandmother and his parents, at Longmen during the Yongping era (508-12).
元燮在正始四年(507)二月另有造釋迦像窟記。
