Description

Stele inscription commemorating establishment of Biaozhong guan, Qiantang, dedicated to the memory and the worship of Qian Liu 錢鏐 (852-932), king of Wu-Yue 吳越; the temple, originally a Buddhist shrine, was renamed by imperial command in response to the petition of Zhao Bian 趙抃 (1008-84), prefect of Hangzhou. Composed by and written in the calligraphy of Su Shi.
《表忠觀碑》傳世者四,此非陳吉士本,亦非小字本。銘詞末云“視此刻文”,則亦非陳柯本。可能即《善本碑帖錄》所云“又一重刻原缺殘拓四紙,下缺”。
