Stele inscribed with the text of the petition of Kong Wenyu 孔溫裕 (d. 874), thirty-ninth lineal descendant of Confucius, requesting permission to restore the Temple of Confucius at Qufu, Shandong, and the subsequent rescript granting permission. Includes title inscription.
