Description

Stele inscription attributed to Cao Zhi commemorating restoration of the Temple of Confucius at Qufu, Shandong; enfeoffment of Kong Xian 孔羨 as Zongsheng hou 宗聖侯, in which capacity he was to preside over all sacrifices offered at the temple; and the posting of subofficial functionaries and guards to the temple compound. Calligraphy attributed to Liang Hu. Includes title inscription.
