Description

Inscription by Song Zhenzong commemorating performance of the feng 封 and shan 禪 sacrifices at Taishan during the Dazhong xiangfu era (1008–16), and recounting the merit and achievements of Song Taizu 太祖 (r. 960–76) and Song Taizong 太宗 (976–97) in expanding the borders of the state and settling the empire. This rubbing represents the fifth of the inscription’s five stones.
