Description

An impression of the jade seal traditionally said to have been used by Song Zhenzong (r. 998-1022) when he performed the feng and shan sacrifices at Taishan; with accompanying inscriptions and colophons. The original seal was destroyed by fire; the impression reproduced in this engraving represents a Daoguang era (1821-50) stone engraving based on the original. In vermilion.
朱拓 。首刻“泰山玉印文“,篆書,其左刻”天僊照鑒“印,其下刻序,三行 行三十一字,正書。序左為銘文四行,行八字,篆書。末有題跋二,其一、三行正書,其二道光八年(1828)徐宗幹題,隸書,七行。
