Description

The Stone Drum inscriptions: verse celebrating the hunting exploits of a duke of Qin, engraved on ten drum-shaped stones. The inscriptions date from the Eastern Zhou. The relative legibility of certain characters in the text suggests an early date for this rubbing, probably late Yuan or early Ming. Previous owners include Dai Xi 戴熙, Bao Xi 寶熙, Wang Xiaoyu 王孝禹, and Zhu Yi'an 朱翼盦, among others.
